Well, Ashley and Bryce have flown the coop on Wednesday back to Edinburgh and a return to their post-grad studies. We are feeling a little lonely after having the pleasure of their company for a month. Carolyn, especially, was feeling a little melancholy yesterday, but we were glad to receive a quick e-mail this a.m. that they had arrived in Scotland in a timely manner and their luggage had made the same trip! I think they were then settling into a time zone adjusting nap.
On Tuesday night, the Hales, Wanda, B&A and us, had a fine farewell dinner at Flemings in Newport Beach where we enjoyed great steak filets, cocktails, salads, side dishes of vegetables and/or various potatoes and a good Cabernet. It was a great time of over indulgence and conversation.
Just so we don't get into our routine too quickly, this weekend we're going out to Palm Desert to spend Saturday night at Club Intrawest (our timeshare)to just enjoy some time alone and away from chores and obligations.
I'll try to be more disciplined in my/our posts than I've been during the holidays and the 'kids' visit.
